Basic Overview about Computer Ram Memory

4. DRAM: DRAM denotes Dynamic Random Access Memory. This type of RAM performs a very effective function of renewing the data that is stored in its data bank. If this functionality is not performed then there is likelihood of data getting corrupted which can hamper the performance of the system.

5. RDRAM: Actually speaking RDRAM is another kind of DRAM that was created by a company called Rambus Inc. Though basic functionality of the two is same however RDRAM was created to work with increased bandwidth enabling it to work at higher speeds. This is done by manipulations that are made in the pipelines from which data gets transferred. However one impact of this is an upsurge in the latency rate at which data travels.
