can an expresscard port be taken out?
my new laptop (Inspiron 1501) has a expresscard port and my new video capture card is for a PCMCIA slot. is it possible to take the PCMCIA port from my OLD laptop (Inspiron 2200) and switch it with the expresscard port from my new laptop?
if so, how would i do it?
BTW i don’t use the old laptop because it has a messed up battery, only 30 GIG, and has none of the programs i need…
I would say no I’ve never seen pcmcia ports that were not hardwired into the motherboard of a laptop. even if you could remove both to switch they wouldn’t fit. I did find this http://www.addonics.com/products/host_controller/adexc34cb.asp its a converter from express to pcmcia
