Dell Ultrathin Laptop Inspiron M101z Offers Long Battery Life

Computer maker Dell announced the availability of the Inspiron M101z Ultrathin notebook, a slim, sub-4-pound laptop that can fit in a handbag or backpack and is being aimed at users who require an ultra-portable devices with extended battery life. The M101z is powered by Amd Athlon II Neo Mobile processors and integrated ATi graphics and achieves up to 6 hours and 36 minutes of operation with its standard 6-cell rechargeable battery, according to the company. Prices begin at $449 with a one-year limited warranty standard.

Features include an 11.6-inch TrueLife HD glossy WLED display, up to 4GB of DDR3 memory at 800MHz and up to 320GB SATA hard drive that can store 142 hours of DVD-quality video, 38 hours of HD video or up to 80,000 MP3 songs. The notebook also offers a built-in 1.3 megapixel Webcam, SRS Premium Sound with two 1.5W speakers, three USB 2.0 connections, one with USB PowerShare, HDMI port, VGA port and a 7-in-1 media card reader.  Acer travelmate laptop battery

The M101z also features integrated 10/100 Ethernet and Wi-Fi (b/g/n) with Bluetooth 3.0 wireless standard, and optional built in mobile broadband expected to be available later this fall, the company said. In an effort to jazz up the exterior, Dell is offering a selection of colors and finishes including Clear Black, Peacock Blue and Tomato Red with Jax pattern, and Promise Pink with DigiPais pattern and matching design on the palmrests.

The notebook is built around a hinge-forward design that moves the display closer and keeps the body rigid to help enhance strength and durability and features a full-width keyboard. Also included is Syncables Desktop software that makes it possible to synch photos, music, video and data with a primary computer for on-the-go access.
