Duosonic was determined to inject new life into its Mini-ITX motherboards. Duosonic already possesses dozens of years of manufacturing PC motherboards under its belt. Its redesigned Mini-ITX and DS965 series feature significantly improved functionality, speed, heat distribution and power consumption. The new designs are on par with ATX motherboards, pushing Mini-ITX technology to new heights in PC digital development. Duosonic Mini-ITX motherboards are the result of extensive research and development by a dedicated team of engineers. In order to improve data and signal transmission efficiency, high precision computers were introduced to carry out the design and computation work. The structure of the PCB electric circuit board underwent rigorous modification and testing. Components applied to the motherboard were selected with the greatest care. Coupled with comprehensive functionality, full hardware support, extensive management capabilities and formidable performance, Mini-ITX motherboards have emerged as both the ideal workstation and the new favorite in home theater entertainment.
The revolutionary frames were designed by geometry experts who understood that the dimensions of the frame impacted heat distribution — knowing that an inefficient heat distribution system could result in severe losses of performance. Serious consideration was taken in positioning the hardware and cabling.
The DS-M1 uses an ultra light, specially-made metal outer covering, DS-M1 barebone mini PC with mini-ITX form uses both Intel mobile CPU and 240 pin DIM memory modules. i.e. A lower power consumption in environment friendly and DDRII 240 pin DIM module with low cost for memory upgrade. Mini-ITX form motherboard is only 6.75”x 6.75” and this is only half the size of the regular ATX motherboard. And DS-M1 is only 7.75”x 7.75”x 3.6” (WxHxD) which almost 60% smaller then regular desktop. Yes, is small but it didn’t mean less power or cannot upgrade. DS-M1 support Intel socket 479 microprocessor, 2x DDR2 533 DIMM slot memory (Max 2GB) and PCIe x16 video card slot, allow you to upgrade and work with daily office task, high definition movies, transfer your pictures, download music. So it can fulfill both commercial and home office applications. What about connectivity’s? Can I hock up with my LCD TV and surround sound system? Of coz, DS-M1 has both HDMI & DVI allow you to connect your high definition LCD TV and Monitor. The optical or coaxial digital (SPDIF) output allows this system connect to your AV system directly with extreme low distortion. Also it has build in 8 channels high definition audio output which can easily provide output to computer multi channels speakers system. So it can fully fit into your home entertainment system. DS-M1 target $190 – $200USD (MSRP) and mostly using desktop component, definitely is an advantage compares others mini PC in the market.
